Private storageFiles sit in private cloud storage with no public links. Access uses short-lived, signed URLs.
Automatic expiryTransfers are deleted when they expire. Backups may keep copies for a limited period.

Not end-to-end encrypted. Files are encrypted in transit and at rest by our storage provider. Don't send sensitive material without understanding this.
How do I send a file to someone?
Open Send files, add your files, choose how long the transfer should last, and press send. You'll get a sharing key. Share that key with your recipient, and they can download the files at Receive files.
Does the person receiving need an account?
No. Recipients only need the sharing key (or the link). They don't need to create an account or install anything.
Who can open my transfer?
Anyone who has the sharing key can access it, which is why you should only share it with the people you intend. If you added a password, the recipient also needs that.
How long are my files kept?
You choose the expiry when you send, from the options shown. When it passes, the files are deleted and the key stops working. Backups may keep copies for a limited period.
How big can files be?
Limits depend on the current service settings and are shown before you upload, so you'll always know if a file is too large. We don't promise unlimited size or storage.
Is my transfer secure?
Files are sent over an encrypted connection and stored privately, with access controlled by your key. Ved Transfer is not end-to-end encrypted, so avoid sending highly sensitive material unless you understand these arrangements.
Can I cancel or revoke a transfer?
Yes. From your transfer you can revoke it at any time, and the key stops working straight away.
What if my recipient's download is interrupted?
Downloads can be resumed where your browser and connection support it, so your recipient doesn't have to start over from zero.
Is Ved Transfer free?
The service starts free within usage limits. Limits protect everyone and keep costs under control, and we won't promise unlimited free transfers.
